In its fifth year now, Hyderabad Comic Con surpassed all its expectations with a spectacular show at Hitex in Hitec City over the weekend.

Nerd mania was at its peak with a line-up of events including special international guest appearances, exclusive experiential and gaming zones, artist alley, fans sessions, cosplay, book launches and much more.

Jatin Varma, Founder, Comic Con India, shared, “Celebrating our fifth anniversary with Hyderabad was really special this year. We had a great turnout. Thanks to the support of our sponsors, partners, exhibitors, volunteers and thousands of fans who visited us, we could make it the best weekend of the year. We’ll be back next year!”

Comic Con India in collaboration with Archie Publications commissioned special #1 editions of popular Archie titles with exclusive Hyderabad only cover; a major attraction for regional readers. Each pass holder to HCC received the exclusive edition.

One of the main attractions of the event were first of its kind Thor: Ragnarok, 360 DOME VR Zone and Justice League Zone. At Thor: Ragnarok Zone people got the opportunity to experience the theme of ‘In Marvel Studios’ and at the VR Dome people enjoyed the new gear-less VR technology and immersive viewing experience.
Abhijeet Kini conducted a special session on how to create comics as did Sailesh Gopalan, creator of Brown Paperbag on Webcomics.

For the sheer love for Comics, six new titles were launched at the convention that included Rhyme Fighters: Odes to our Unsung Heroes by Abhijeet Kini Studios; Caster Issue #2 & Age Of Immortals #3 by Holy Cow Entertainment; 13 Days Horror Story Book 2, Ved Series Book 3 (Barf) & Takshak - Indian Superhero launch by TBS Planet.
In addition, for the first time in the city official DJ for Comic Con, DJ Elliot was in attendance to get the nerds partying and dancing with his nerd-centric tunes. Needless to say, it was a party like never before.
