SRKR wins laurels

The Mechanical Engineering Students of SRKR Engineering College, Bhimavaram won two medals in the National Design Competitions conducted by National Design Research Forum (NDRF), Bangalore. These awards were announced by NDRF on Thursday, according to College principal G Pardhasaradhi Varma.

The final year Mechanical Engineering Student V Navya Geethika has designed a solar power voice-based Tri-cycle and won the Silver Medal in Environment category. Geethika designed this under the guidance of Senior Professor V Durga Prasad.

In Agricultural Engineering Category, the final year student B Harish Kamal won the bronze medal for his design Solar Smart Cultivator under the guidance of Head of the Department Dr K Brahmaraju.

B harish Kamal, the Bronze medal winner said that he designed the Solar Smart Cultivator at a cost of Rs 1.50 lakh. The IEI has given Rs 50,000 for each project as a grant and the remaining amount was borne by the College, he added. The College Management President Sagi Prasada Raju, Secretary and correspondent Sagi Atchutaramaraju, Director Sagi Vithal Rangaraju congratulated the students for their achievements.
