Odissi is one of the Indian classical dance forms which came from the inspiration of Hindu temples of the state of Odisha. This dance form mainly illustrates mythological, religious and devotional stories and the dancers present the same. With excellent body movements, expressions, impressive gestures and sign languages the dancer presents their dance item.

Radhapal is the disciple of Guru Vichitrananda swamy and Lingaraj Pradhan and visited many parts of the country and other countries like Sri Lanka, United States of America and Bhutan.

Radhapal showcased items which were choreographed by the noted Odissi dance maestro Kelucharan Mahapatro. She has commenced the recital with Devistuti and continued with the items from Bhagavatham and Maha Bharat. Excellent foot moments, expressions were appreciated by the spectators.

Kathak is also one of the main varieties of oldest Indian classical dances and this is a traditional dance of North India.The Kathak dancers communicate the mythic stories through rhythmic foot movements, hand gestures, facial expressions especially with eyes.

This dance form developed in three places of North India viz., Jaipur, Lucknow and Banaras. Ayan Benerjee has developed his own style in Kathak dance with the blessings of Pandit Birju Maharaj. He presented the dance with tradition and contemporary style. This was appreciated by the audience gathered in the auditorium. Ayan presented items like Siva stotram and tarana.

Dr Chivukula Sundararama Sarma and other committee members of Kala Peetham honored the artistes.
