Cops contribute 1.34 lakh for deceased constable’s family

District Police Superintendent Vishal Gunni presented a cheque worth Rs 1.34 lakh to a deceased cop’s wife Yesuratnam at the district police office here on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, he praised the humanitarian act of the 2009 batch of constables who contributed Rs 1.34 lakh for the deceased cop’s family.
Kakinada: District Police Superintendent Vishal Gunni presented a cheque worth Rs 1.34 lakh to a deceased cop’s wife Yesuratnam at the district police office here on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, he praised the humanitarian act of the 2009 batch of constables who contributed Rs 1.34 lakh for the deceased cop’s family.
The SP informed that the constable, R Srinu Babu, died on duty in August at Addateegala. The SP further assured Srinu Babu’s wife Yesuratnam that he would deposit Rs 10,000 each for their two daughters under the ‘Sukanya Samruddhi’ scheme. He directed the police officials to clear all the pending financial benefits of the deceased constable’s family, if any.
