Villagers on fast demanding removal of poultries
Residents of Mukkallupadu village, under Nuzid mandal on Tuesday launched relay fast camp at Venkateswara Poultry farm, demanding that the government take steps to remove poultries which are causing ill-health to the residents of the village and urged the government to save them from the bees.

A villager, Parvataneni Jagadeesh, said that poultries were set up in the village 15 years ago and added that chicken that die due to diseases were being burnt, which emanated a bad smell around the village. He said in spite of several requests, the poultry owners were not dumping poultry waste at the dumping yard.
He said Intelligence ADG Venkateswara Rao, adopted the village under the Prime Minister Model Village Scheme to develop infrastructure in the village and urged the government take steps to remove poultries in the village immediately. He said they had submitted memoranda to local officials. However, they did not take any action to remove poultries, he added.
