Rajamahendravaram: Education and medication to the poor is the highest priority for their government, said Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu here on Sunday.

He participated as chief guest in a homeo hospital inauguration programme at AV Appa Rao road, and said that their government had allotted Rs 23,000 crore for education.

He informed that 80 percent of these funds would be spent on primary education in the state. He also said that they were taking special attention on the development of the primary education in the villages. He also informed that Rs 7,000 crore was allotted to the medical sector in the state.

Yanamala said that they were taking all measures to provide health security to every poor in the state. With the help of the Central government, the state government was giving priority to the poor in education and in medical sector.

He further said that the government was taking measures to improve the quality of the life of the poor. He suggested for the NGOs to provide necessary medical aid to the poor in the state.

MLAs Akula Satyanarayana, Pendurthi Venkatesh, Library Organisation Chairman Nallamilli Veerreddy, Dr A M Reddy and others participated.
