Padmavathi appointed as AMC Chairperson
Patangi Padmavathi has been appointed as the Chairman of the Agricultural Market Committee of the Mandapeta constituency.
Kakinada: Patangi Padmavathi has been appointed as the Chairman of the Agricultural Market Committee of the Mandapeta constituency.
Mandapeta MLA Vegulla Jogeswara Rao on Monday informed that the state government has issued GO No.805 on December 13 in this regard. After participating in the constituency-level coordination meeting at the TDP office here on Monday, he spoke to the regional media and parted with the details. The MLA further said that Ballapukonda Linganna (Dorababu) has been appointed as the vice-chairman of the Mandapeta AMC.
Jogeswara Rao explained that there were another 17 members in the committee. “Sarpanch of Dwarapudi village is also a member of the AMC committee,” he added. Mandapeta Municipality Chairman Chundru Sri Vara Prakash and others participated in the meeting.
According to the GO, tenure of all the members including the chairperson and vice-chairman was subject to one year of a writ petition, which was within the purview of the high court.
