District Red Cross Yoga Center organised mass Sun God salutations (Surya Namaskaramulu) at Vivekananda Park here on Wednesday. “‘Radha Saptami’ was the very auspicious day in Hindu Mythology,” said the Red Cross Yoga teacher, Bodhi Naga Raju, who supervised the Surya Namaskaramulu programme.

Kakinada: District Red Cross Yoga Center organised mass Sun God salutations (Surya Namaskaramulu) at Vivekananda Park here on Wednesday. “‘Radha Saptami’ was the very auspicious day in Hindu Mythology,” said the Red Cross Yoga teacher, Bodhi Naga Raju, who supervised the Surya Namaskaramulu programme.

Speaking on the occasion, teacher Naga Raju informed that Yoga and Surya Namaskaramulu were similar to some extent. “Doing these Surya Namaskaramulu would certainly help in maintaining health. Our ancestors were very wise people and they maintained healthy habits and lived more years,” he informed. He further suggested that doing these Sun Salutations everyday would certainly influence one's health.

Speaking on the occasion, city Red Cross vice-president Badam Bala Krishna explained the importance of the Radha Saptami celebrations and also expressed his wish that these salutations should be followed in everybody's homes who want to maintain good physical and mental health.
