Kakinada: Seeking job protection, gas delivery workers association members led by the IFTU (International Federation of Trade Unions) staged a dharna at Collectorate here on Friday. They raised slogans against the local HP Gas management.
Speaking on the occasion, they said that the management removed some of the gas delivery workers without proper cause. They demanded that the management withdraw its decision of removal of the delivery workers. They further urged the officials that they should do justice to them. They displayed cloth banners showing their demands. Later, they submitted a memorandum to the Collector’s office.
