Make roads safe: DGP
Director General of Police M Malakondaiah and Transport Commissioner Balasubrahmanyam ordered the police and transport officials to take initiatives to reduce the number of road accidents by identifying the reasons and addressing them immediately.

Speaking to the District SP Bhusarapu Satya Yesubabu and other officials from concerned departments like transport, panchayat raj, roads and buildings, APSRTC, DMHO, NHAI and RIMS director through the videoconference, the DGP reviewed the number of accidents happened in the limits of each police station in the district and discussed the reasons behind them.
He ordered the officials to find out the spots where maximum number of accidents were happening on the roads, the time and other factors. The officials also discussed about setting up trauma care centers along the highways to save the victims by shifting them to the hospital in the golden hour.
