Celebrating mother tongue
The Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation (RMC) Additional Commissioner, NVV Satyanarayana Rao has said that the corporation will conduct various competitions to its students for six days from February 15 to 20 in the city, in connection with International Mother Tongue Day.
Rajamahendravaram: The Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation (RMC) Additional Commissioner, NVV Satyanarayana Rao has said that the corporation will conduct various competitions to its students for six days from February 15 to 20 in the city, in connection with International Mother Tongue Day.
According to the Additional Commissioner, the competitions will be organised in elocution, essay-writing, debate, poetry reading and drawings. The students studying from third to eighth standard are eligible to participate in the competitions. Arrangements were made at Kantipudi Ramarao Corporation High School for the competitions.
On February 15, competition will be conducted in essay-writing followed by elocution on February 16, debate on February 17, poetry reading on 19 and painting on February 20. Headmasters BVVR Padmavathi and TGS Vasudeva Rao appointed as committee members to conduct the competitions. The corporation will present the awards to the winners in a meeting scheduled to be held on February 21 at Sri Venkateswara Anam Kala Kendram, he added.
