Call to donate blood liberally
Every healthy person should treat donating blood as their duty, said district SC/ST Vigilance and Monitoring Committee member Dhulipudi Venkata Ramana (Bobby) while inaugurating the blood donation camp at Ravi Degree College in Kapulapalem village of Tallarevu mandal on Thursday.
Kakinada: Every healthy person should treat donating blood as their duty, said district SC/ST Vigilance and Monitoring Committee member Dhulipudi Venkata Ramana (Bobby) while inaugurating the blood donation camp at Ravi Degree College in Kapulapalem village of Tallarevu mandal on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, he informed that Lions Club and Rotary Club of Yanam had extended their support for organising the camp. Bobby said that he was pleased to see the students of Ravi Degree College girls participate in blood donation camp.
He stressed the need of donating blood. Bobby urged that if every healthy person donates blood voluntarily, the shortage of blood in the country as well as in our state would be diminished gradually and the needy would get the blood in time. He also spoke on the importance of organ donation and eye donation. Dr P Kamaraju of Rotary Blood Bank and his team collected the blood from the donors.
Ravi Degree College principal Peddireddy Uma Maheswara Rao, Surya Narayana, G Brahmanandam, Nalla Venkanna, M Chinnary, N Rama Krishna and others participated.
