Vijayawada: Students were in a jubilant mood shouting with joy and throwing the pieces of torn question papers on the road on Wednesday.

The Intermediate public examinations concluded on a peaceful note. Students attended the last and final examination Chemistry or Commerce paper II which was held on Wednesday. As many as 62, 215 candidates had applied for the Intermediate examination. About 60,950 candidates attended the examination at 159 centres across the district, according to Regional Inspection Officer (RIO) Siva Satayanarayana Reddy.

He informed that 555 candidates were absent for the IPE Chemistry and Commerce examination paper II. About 463 candidates were present for vocational examination out of 549 candidates with 78 absentees. The results will be announced in the second week of April.

He said that as usual, the examination started by 9 am at all the examination centres and no cases of malpractice or any untoward incident was reported from any of the 159 centres. He said that the examination was held at all the centres peacefully.
