Civic chief inspects sanitation in city
Municipal Commissioner Srikesh B Lathkar, visited Ponnur Road, Basavataraka Rama Nagar here.He found garbage at the wine shops and directed to cease the wine shop immediately and cancel the D&O trade licenses. He inspected sewage flowing in the side drains. He directed to the public health officer to lift garbage regularly.

He inspected sewage flowing in the side drains. He directed to the public health officer to lift garbage regularly.
He interacted with local people and enquired about drinking water supply in Tarakaramanagar. Local people complained that drinking water was getting bad smell because of leakages.
The civic chief directed the engineering officials to check any leaks to the drinking water pipelines in that area immediately and urged the people to draw water from municipal taps when the GMC release drinking water.
Later, he inspected sanitation at Seethangar and directed the public health workers to clean the drains regularly. He inspected silt removing works. He also inspected main outfall drain in the city.
