Develop infrastructure near leased mines
District Collector Kona Sasidhar, directed the officials to complete works taken up under District Mineral Development Trust in the district. He reminded that the government had allotted Rs 720 crore to the district and instructed the officials to complete the works as early as possible.

He addressed a meeting held in the Collectorate on Wednesday. He said that there was need to develop infrastructure within 10 km in the village where mines were leased out and said that there was need to provide drinking water facility. He reviewed progress of works including digging of bore wells, developing roads and construction Anganwadi centres.
He directed the officials to start works for which administrative sanction was given and send proposals for the construction of additional classrooms in the schools to the Sarva Shikha Abhiyan. He directed to check machines at Nagaravanam to check pollution to create awareness among the people.
Joint Collector-2 Vijaya Chandar, Assistant Director of Mines Srinivasa Kumar were among those participated.
