26 drunken drivers sent to jail
The Judicial court sentenced 26 drunken drivers for two to four days imprisonment after they were booked for drunken driving for the third time. The traffic police booked drunken driving cases against the 391 drunken drivers, out of which the court sentenced 26 drunken drivers
Guntur: The Judicial court sentenced 26 drunken drivers for two to four days imprisonment after they were booked for drunken driving for the third time. The traffic police booked drunken driving cases against the 391 drunken drivers, out of which the court sentenced 26 drunken drivers .
Penalties were imposed to 148 persons for drunken driving. Guntur rural traffic police conducted drunken driving tests from during the last one week to reduce road accidents, accidental deaths.
Following orders of the Guntur Rural SP Ch Venkata Appala Naidu, the traffic police conducted the breathlyser tests in the district and booked cases. He warned that they will continue drunken driving tests. He urged the parents not to give vehicles to their minor children. He said that if the minors drive the vehicles, the police book the cases and conduct counseling.
