Sahithi Sravanthi to observe Kandukuri 100th death anniversary
Kandukuri Veeresalingam Pantalu 100th death anniversary will be observed on May 27, said MLC M Balasubramanyam.
Vijayawada: Kandukuri Veeresalingam Pantalu 100th death anniversary will be observed on May 27, said MLC M Balasubramanyam.
He informed the media that Sahithi Sravanthi decided to observe the death anniversary in a big way for one year.
He demanded that Godavari bridge should be named after Kandukuri Veeresalingam.
All the educational institutions established by him as aided institutes in the state should be transformed as educational hub.
Andhra Pradesh cultural department should reprint all his literature and should be kept at all the libraries in the state, he demanded.
He said that after the state bifurcation, the government had totally ignored culture and heritage of the state.
“We should feel proud to say that we are the descendants of the great people of AP-- Gurajada, Veeresalingam, Jashua, Nannaya, Tikkana, Yerrana, Veerabraham and Vemana,” he added.
