Mayor donates blood, pats ‘The Hans India’

Kakinada: Mayor Sunkara Pavani and BJP East Godavari district president Yenimireddy Malakondyya were among those who donated blood at the blood donation camp organised by ‘The Hans India’, HMTV and Kapil Group at Red Cross Blood Bank here on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Pavani complimented ‘The Hans India’ and HMTV.

By organising the blood donation camp, the media group proved that apart from giving day to day updates on issues, they highlighted the social responsibility of the media. She promised to participate in such activities in the future also.

The BJP leader, Malakondayya said that by organsing the blood donation camp, both ‘The Hans India’ and HMTV proved that they do not lag behind in health care and cause of public as the blood saves human lives.

Blood donors from different walks of life including Dr Badam Balakrishna, founder chairman of Kakinada Eye Bank also donated blood.

SK Reddy, a practicing advocate of Kakinada donated blood at the camp for the 24th time in a span of one-and-a-half decades.

Red Cross Blood Bank former chairman Dr P Durga Raju conducted medial check-up for the donors.

Blood Bank secretary Siva Kumar supervised the arrangements for the conduct of the blood donation camp.
