People throng East Godavari Collectorate at Prajavani meet

​Kakinada: More than 200 representations were received at the weekly grievances cell ‘Prajavani’ at East Godavari Collectorate here on Monday.

Several of these representations pertaining to house sites, weaker section housing, encroachment of properties, ration cards, old age pensions, assistance for medical expenses and allied issues.

Corporator of 36 division S Lakshmi Prasuna stood for total improvement of sanitation and measures to avoid stray dog menace. She brought to the notice of the Collector about the death of a six-year-old boy Nagendra in her division due to attack by stray dogs which was as recent as two days ago.

On a representation over unauthorised layouts at Rangapeta in the district, Collector Kartikeya Mishra directed in-charge DPO Govinda Rao to inquire about the same and take appropriate action on the issue.

On a representation by Gampala Govindu, electrician by profession of K Gangavaram mandal, who sustained severe injuries due to electric shock, the Collector directed the medical authorities to extend medical aid under NTR Vaidyaseva and also extension of medical services in plastic surgery department in Kakinada Government General Hospital later.
