Eluru: As part of their campaign for alternative leadership for State, the Left parties, CPI and CPM, will organise a state-level seminar for handicraft workers here on August 13.

Leaders of both the parties released a poster relating to the seminar at a programme held here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, CPI district secretary Dega Prabhakar informed that the proposed meet would focus on protection of handicrafts, their safety and social security.

The meet would find out the policies needed by alternative political system to ensure protection of handicrafts. The Left parties Prachara Jata would carry out campaign for the state-level seminar in the next three days. The seminar would be attended by CPI state secretary K Ramakrishna and CPM secretary P Madhu, he added.

The CPM district secretary, P Kishore alleged that the government had failed to safeguard interests of people. In the same manner, the opposition party YSRCP had also failed to expose the ruling party failures.

In this backdrop, the Left parties had been organising seminars all over the state to deliver the message that people should opt for new political force supported by Left parties, he added.
