Barrage, road-cum-rail bridge in poor state, says MP Maganti Murali Mohan

Rajamahendravaram: MP Maganti Murali Mohan has expressed unhappiness over the maintenance of Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage and road-cum-rail bridge which were in bad condition.

The MP along with the officials of Irrigation, Roads and Buildings departments visited the two structures here on Tuesday.

He pointed out many lapses with regard to maintenance of barrage and road-cum-rail bridge and asked the officials about the pits on barrage and on the bridge.

Later, he underlined the need to take up repair works to them immediately as the two were very important structures.

This would be taken to the notice of the government to protect barrage and bridge. He asked the officials to take up repairs immediately and it was their duty to protect them.
