Bethavolu Rama Brahmam selected for President’s award in traditional Telugu literature

Rajamahendravaram: Retired professor Bethavolu Rama Brahmam has been selected for President of India's Award in traditional Telugu literature.

Rama Brahmam came from a middle class family in West Godavari district and completed Bhasha Praveena course in Sanskrit College at Kovvur.

Later, he completed MA (Telugu) from Andhra University and had Ph D on ‘impact of Sanskrit grammar on Telugu grammar' from Nagarjuna University.

Many students completed Ph D under his guidance and he performed many avadhanams and was honoured with many awards.
