Guntur: Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas has promised to affect several changes in the functioning of all government hospitals and to help them render better services and boost quality of treatment to the poor patients coming to the hospitals.

Kamineni Srinivas was discharged from the government hospital here on Wednesday after his nearly week-long stay in the hospital for his knee-joint surgery which the hospital doctors’ team headed by Superintendent Dr Raju Naidu performed on him. A visibly happy and beaming Kamineni spoke to reporters before leaving the hospital.

He said that equipment would be provided to all government hospitals for performing crucial surgeries. The Health Minister revealed that he would release Rs 60 crore for the development of Government General Hospital (GGH) here.
