MRPS questions Kapu quota
The Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) leader Manda Krishna Madiga questioned the Andhra Pradesh government on how it can extend reservations for the Kapus with the support of the Centre. It high time the State government should came forward and dispel the fear among the backward classes on what basis it would provide reservation for the Kapu’s, he added.

Vijayawada: The Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) leader Manda Krishna Madiga questioned the Andhra Pradesh government on how it can extend reservations for the Kapus with the support of the Centre. It high time the State government should came forward and dispel the fear among the backward classes on what basis it would provide reservation for the Kapu’s, he added.
Addressing the media here on Friday, Krishna Madiga lambasted at the Chief Minister N Chandrbabu Naidu for hoodwinking the people with his false promises. The Telugu Desam chief who was showing over enthusiasm for the inclusion of Kapu’s into BC list, by virtually forgetting the implementation of SC categorisation, which was promised by him in his earlier tenure in united Andhra Pradesh, he alleged.
Krishna Madiga also reminded the statement of Chandrababu Naidu of his remark during the poll campaign that “SCs categorisation is imperative for cobblers to rewrite history,” he said and added that its high time for Naidu to fulfill his promise to protect the interests of SCs.
The MRPS leader also questioned the Chief Minister for not prosecuting YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy if he had information that the opposition leader was behind the large-scale violence in Tuni following the Kapu Garjana on January 31.
Planning to hold a mass convention with 10 lakh people on April 30 at the venue where Chief Minister’s swearing ceremony was held to highlight the SC categorisation issue, added Krishna Madiga.
