Anganwadi wages hiked
The State government has issued orders increasing the honorariums of anganwadi, mini anganwadi workers and anganwadi helpers. A GO issued here on Saturday said that the hike would come into effect from April 1, 2016.
Vijayawada: The State government has issued orders increasing the honorariums of anganwadi, mini anganwadi workers and anganwadi helpers. A GO issued here on Saturday said that the hike would come into effect from April 1, 2016.
According to the GO, the honorarium of anganwadi workers is hiked from the present Rs 4,200 to Rs 7,000 per month, and the mini anganwadi workers the honorarium is hiked from Rs 2,950 to Rs 4,500 per month. And for anganwadi helpers the government enhanced their honorarium from current Rs 2,200 to Rs 4,500 per month, the order said.
The decision to enhance the honorariums has been taken on the basis of the recommendations made by the Group of Ministers (GoM) consisting Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Transport Minister Sidda Raghava Rao, Labour, Youth and Employment Minister K Achhanaidu and Women and Child Welfare Minister P Sujatha.
