CPM activists attacked
Two CPM activists, Anjaneyulu and Satish, were injured when a group of miscreants attacked them with axes at the party office at Sundarayya Nagar here on Tuesday. The injured were rushed to Guntur GGH for treatment with the help of neighbors.

Doctors at GGH said the health condition of the leaders was very critical as the miscreants hurt them on head, hand and other body parts. They need urgent surgery to arrest the bleeding.
“They received several stitches on their heads and would undergo a CT scan soon,” a GGH doctor said.
According to information provided by the police, disputes over the land in Guntur led to the attack and the attackers ran away from the spot when the neighbors raised alarm over the incident.
A relative of the injured lodged a complaint over the incident. “We are investigating the case in all aspects. Friends and relatives of the both the leaders were being questioned to find the attackers,” police officials said. Meanwhile, the CPM leaders staged a protest demanding immediate arrest of the miscreants.
