Actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan said the BJP-led NDA government was committing the same mistake which the Congress government had committed two years ago bifurcating the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Reacting to the statement of Union Minister of State for Home Haribhai P Chowdary that special status to AP was not on cards, Pawan said all the political parties, including the ruling party MPs from Andhra, should join hands and fight for getting special status.
“Exactly two years ago, Seemandhra MPs were attacked in Parliament, beaten and pushed out while dividing the state and that was the biggest mistake the Congress had done.
It played with the sentiments of the people. No one can forget the insult that was meted to the state. BJP is also resorting to similar mistake by not giving special status. It should not do so,” Pawan tweeted.
