While the TDP can win three RS seats, one seat of which has now been allotted for the BJP from the state, the opposition YSRCP can win one seat, now allotted to Vijay Sai Reddy.

To review the Rajya Sabha nominees, Chandrababu called upon a number of leaders that included Union ministers Ashok Gajapati Raju, Y Sujana Chowdary, TDP AP unit president Kala Venkat Rao and AP ministers Kalva Srinivasulu, Achchen Naidu, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and Prattipati Pulla Rao.

The Chief Minister is said to have suggested for the review of all the aspirants names and credentials. With his term expiring on June 21, Sujana Chowdary is due for renomination and is likely to be renominated leaving space for one more TDP candidate. Reports suggest that Chandrababu Naidu is planning to contest for the fourth seat too with the help of YSRCP MLAs and that Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu is likely to be offered one seat.
