Rajamahendravaram: In a heart-warming tale of love, a young couple defied the odds and came together in holy matrimony. Vaddi Kondababu of Prathipadu in East Godavari district was born blind and therefore abandoned by his parents at the age of three at Zion Blind School in the city.

He grew up there and became a Braille teacher in the same institution. Kondababu never expected to get married because of his blindness.

But to his utter amazement, Shyamala, a girl from Paradesipalem in Visakhapatnam district came forward to marry him. Shyamala had to give up her studies due to financial problems.

Her parents decided to get her married and came across Kondababu but were reluctant for obvious reasons. But Shyamala thought otherwise. She liked Kondababu and wanted to marry him.

She conveyed the same to Kondababu who visited her at her house and convinced him. The duo after a lot of effort convinced her parents and got married at the Zion school in the presence of the students.

Mayor Pantam Rajini Sesha Sai graced the wedding and blessed the couple.
