YSRCP to mobilize opinion for special status with public meetings
YSR Congress party is not willing to back down on the special category status despite the denial from the Centre. Speaking on the same, Rajya Sabha MP and YSRCP General Secretary V Vijayasai Reddy on Monday stated that the party would wage a relentless battle to achieve special state status to Andhra Pradesh.

Addressing the media, the YSRCP leader said that the party would host six public meetings in the state under the leadership of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in order to assemble the public opinion for the special status.
Alleging that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu are misleading the people by portraying that the special package is better than special state status, Vijayasai Reddy asserted that YSRCP would expose the deceit of the Central Government.
He further pointed out that Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had missed out mentioning the word of special package in his speech on September 7 and challenged for an open debate on special state status.
