Telaprolu ZPHS students selected for AP wrestling team

Vijayawada: Students of Zilla Parishad High School in Telaprolu village of Krishna district were selected for School Games Federation of India (SGFI) Andhra Pradesh wrestling team.

The students represented Krishna district in the recently-concluded inter-district wrestling championship.

This is the first time that Krishna district has won gold, silver and bronze medals apart from the overall championship.

Telaprolu village students G Leela Kumari, NVV Kiranmai and G Bhargav wern selected for SGFI State team. In a press release, school Head Master T Prasad said that the three wrestlers would represent AP team and participate in the coming SGFI nationals.

The high school students demonstrated the best performance in the State championship and were selected for State team, he added.

High school management committee chairman V Ramesh Reddy, district educational officer A Subba Reddy, Nuzivid division deputy educational officer NV Ravi Sagar appreciated the three students. They congratulated Physical Education Teacher (PET) T Sri Latha and Rambabu.
