Kurnool: Srisailam dam is brimming with flood waters with water level reaching 880.80 feet as against its full capacity of 885 feet.

Project officials started generating power from the right power station of Andhra Pradesh as well as from Telangana side.

Due to incessant rains upstream of River Krishna in Karnataka and Maharashtra, the Alamatti, Narayanapur and Jurala projects are receiving heavy flood waters.

As Jurala project attained its full capacity, around 1.40 lakh cusecs of water is being released downstream which is reaching Srisailam dam.

Officials said there is every chance of lifting dam gates at any point of time if the inflow continued.
