Andhra Pradesh BJP leaders felicitated Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday in Tirupati for allocating the special package for the state and also placing Tirupati in smart cities list.
Andhra Pradesh BJP leaders felicitated Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday in Tirupati for allocating the special package for the state and also placing Tirupati in smart cities list. Addressing the occasion, the Minister condemned the leaders who faulted him and the Central government over the special category status issue.
Venkaiah Naidu spoke at length on the special status issue, pointing out all the struggles taken up for the cause and clarified the purpose of announcing the special package.
He further said that the Centre has even agreed to fund Polavaram project completely and making AP revenue deficit.
The felicitation ceremony, however, caused a political furor as Left parties launched a protest rally against Venkaiah Naidu where the activists shouted slogans 'Go back Venkaiah'.
