Blood donation camps held at Eluru, Jangareddigudem

Eluru: West Godavari district police conducted blood donation camps in Eluru and Jangareddigudem police sub-divisions in the district as part of Police Commemoration day week on Tuesday. West Godavari district SP Bhaskar Bhushan inaugurated the blood donation camp at Police Kalyana Mandapam in Ameenapeta. Police officials, personnel, students from Sir CR Reddy College, Eluru Engineering College, De Paul College, NGOs and Cine actors’ fans association members participated in the blood donation camp. Officer on Special Duty (OSD) B Ramakrishna, AR DSP B Chandrasekhar and others participated in the inaugural programme.
Speaking on the occasion the district SP said that the commemoration day week will be observed up to October 21 in the district. He said during the week-long programme, police have to conduct drawing, elocution and essay writing competitions to students. He said that the blood donation camp received good response from various sections of people. Later the SP interacted with the deceased police personnel’s family members at District Police Office here.
He also gave an assurance to the deceased families on the pending benefits from government side. Andhra Pradesh Police Officers Welfare Association Secretary K Nagaraju and others participated in the programme. In Jangareddigudem, police, students and various organisations participated in the blood donation camp. DSP J Venkat Rao inaugurated the camp at Jangareddigudem.
