Nellore: Three persons were killed when a speeding truck hit a stationary mini-van on the National Highway at Kommalapudi in Manubole mandal on Friday morning.According to police, M Venkateswarlu, Ankaiah, Ramanaiah and Bhaskar of Indukurpet mandal were transporting sheep in a mini-van to Chillakur.
They stopped at Kommalapudi crossroads as fuel in the vehicle was exhausted. Even though they parked the vehicle in the bay, a truck proceeding to Chennai from Nellore hit the mini-van, killing Venkateswarlu, 30, Bhaskar, 30, and Ankaiah, 18, on the spot. Ramanaiah suffered grievous injuries and was rushed to Nellore Government Hospital for treatment. Ankaiah was the son of Venkateswarlu.Manubole police rushed to the spot and took up measures to restore the traffic. The deceased were from Narsapuram and Pamulapalem villages in Indukurpet mandal.
