Addressing the crowds at YuvaBheri programme in Kurnool, YSR Congress Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy spoke at length on the benefits of the special category status.

Reacting strongly against the Centre, especially Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu for going back on the promise of according special status for Andhra Pradesh while campaigning for votes, Jagan even castigated Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for ignoring the plea for special status instead focused on his foreign jaunts, to attract industrialists.

The YSRCP Chief further explained that the investments would pour in naturally to the state if the special status is accorded as subsidies would be given. He also declared that YSRCP MPs won't hesitate to resign from their posts if the special status category is not granted by the next budget session.

Pointing out that Chandrababu himself demanded special status before the elections but now has changed his demeanour and is making all efforts to stop special status, Jagan said that the youth and students would be at a major loss without special status as there won't be industrial growth due to which there won't be jobs.

Calling upon the youth and students to come together to fight for the cause, he said that YSRCP will not rest until the status is achieved.
