Eluru Municipal Corporation campaigns on open defecation

Eluru: Eluru Municipal Corporation started campaigning on the problems of open defecation in the city. The corporation appointed Swachh Doot volunteers to campaign on open defecation in 26 identified areas in the city, according to commissioner Yarra Saye Srikanth. He toured in One Town along with Swachh Doot volunteers and inspected the market and other areas.

He along with the volunteers explained on the bad effects of open defecation. The commissioner said that the corporation has sanctioned individual toilets to various households. Community toilets, public toilets have also been constructed in various places in the city to control the open defecation, he added.
