Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday began the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) membership drive at his residence at Undavalli in Guntur district. He registered himself in the party at the outset from Undavalli and advised the members not to depend on political parties for livelihood.

Citing his own experiences of how he established himself pertaining to money while working for the party, Chandrababu narrated a 50-point programme rolling out several facilities free of cost to the members who joined Telugu Desam.

Among the facilities being offered for the newly joined members in the party, free health and life insurance, free health and life insurance, education to their children and free accidental insurance are some of them.

TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh along with others registered their membership online. Addressing the meet at the party membership enrollment drive in Vijayawada, Nara Lokesh said that so far TDP has achieved One crore membership and is moving ahead fulfilling the various issues of the activists in both the Telugu states of AP and Telangana.

He further said that approximately 4000 party members have benefitted during crisis situations. Telangana TDP leader L Ramana too spoke at the membership drive where he mentioned that TDP is the only party to give the members the freedom to speak their mind.

Presidents of TDP at Mandal and district level attended the drive where they thanked the TDP President for giving them an opportunity to serve the people.
