Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has requested the Election Commission to shift his voted from Hyderabad's Jubilee Hills assembly constituency to Undavalli region of Guntur district.

While Hyderabad will be serving as the joint capital for both the Telugu states for a decade, the Chief Minister has decided to shift his base completely to the upcoming capital Amaravati after facing logistic issues in Telangana.

Chandrababu has already reduced his visits to Hyderabad and has no intentions to visit the city except to meet Governor ESL Narasimhan. During the last six months, the Chief Minister visited Hyderabad five times, out of which twice were to meet the Governor. Also, he shifted his base to Andhra Pradesh completely this year in June by operating from his camp office and residence in Undavalli.
