AP Minister, MLA pay tributes to Savitri, Jaya
Minister for Social Welfare Ravela Kishore Babu, Vijayawada Central MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao and Mahanati Savitri Kala Peetham members paid tributes by performing ‘palabhishekam’ to the statue of the late actress Savitri on the occasion of her 80th birth anniversary on the premises of Tummalapalli Kalakshetram here on Tuesday.
Vijayawada: Minister for Social Welfare Ravela Kishore Babu, Vijayawada Central MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao and Mahanati Savitri Kala Peetham members paid tributes by performing ‘palabhishekam’ to the statue of the late actress Savitri on the occasion of her 80th birth anniversary on the premises of Tummalapalli Kalakshetram here on Tuesday.
They also paid tributes to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa who passed away on Monday.
Bonda Umamaheswara Rao said that Tamil Nadu former Chief Minister Jayalalitha and Savitri had will in the hearts of people forever and the State government is planning to install statue of Jayalalithaa statue on Tummalapalli Kalakshetram precincts.
Savitri Kala Peetham president Paruchuri Vijayalakshmi and honorary president P Srinivas, secretaries and others were present.
