The woman MPP along with ZPTC member Pamu Suryakantam squatted in front of the pudendum in protest against the closure of the school months ago
MLAs, ZPTC members, MPPs rushed to the podium expressing their resentment and over the use of indecent words and gestures by the DEO towards the woman MPP.

The members did not heed to the repeated pleas of ZP chairman Namana Rambabu and district collector H Arun Kumar.

The house passed a unanimous resolution seeking the DEO suspension at the instance of TDP MLC Reddy Subrahmanyam and Anaparty MLA Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy.

The troubles started when the MPP mandal Parishad President brought to the notice of the house about the abrupt closure of an elementary school at Lakkonda tribal village in Agency Gangavaram.

She brought to the notice of the house that the School which was started in pre Indipendence days in 1945 in tribal hamlet as aided school and was closed abruptly after reopening of schools in the present academic year 2016-17.

The DEO quoted that the school was closed due to less student strength after obtaining permission from district collator.

Not satisfied by the reply, the women MPP brought to the notice of the house that there are 24 children in the aided school and hence it should be reopened.

Unmoved by the plea of the MPP, the DEO replied that that it is not technically feasible to reopen the school by making some gestutes at women representative.

Protesting over the gestures TDP MLC Reddy Subrahmanyam said that it is not fair on part of DEO Narasimha Rao to speak in an indecent and undemocratic ways by waiving his hands ( Mee lage aa school teacher kuda na daggara edchadu) in Telugu.

This provoked all the embers to protest at the podium demanding suspension of DEO for the disrespect shown at the people’s reparative who highlighted problems of her area.

The repeated pleas of both district collector A Arun Kumar and ZP chair person Namana Rambabu were not heeded though the DEO expressed regrets over the remarks he made.

At this juncture the house adopted unanimous resolution seeking suspension of the DEO as he showed little respect to the representative instead of solving the problem amicably.

Intervening in the discussion district Collector said that he will write to higher authorities in education department seeking action on the DEO.

He also said that the action has to be taken by the higher ups as the same is not under his purview. Pacified over the assurance the members returned to their seats to take up next transactions . .

Prior to this, the peoples’ representatives also expressed their resentment over frequent intervention of Rajamahendravaram sub-collector Vijaya Krishnan for her in sand allocations , delay in implementation of Vanam – Manam programmes in Rajamahendravaram division.
