Speaking on this occasion, he said that the state government is giving priority to games and developing infrastructure in the stadiums. He urged the players to avail the facilities provided by the government and excel in the sports. He assured that the state government will develop the BR Stadium and provide necessary facilities to the players.

District collector Kantilal Dande said that the government sanctioned Rs.10 crore for the development of BR Stadium and said that they will develop the stadium and provide necessary facilities to the players. He said that games will bring out innate talent in the students. He explained steps taken by the government to encourage players.

Later, students performed cultural programmes. Over 1200 students participated in school games from 13 districts in the state. The district administration provided all the facilities to the players who participated in the states school games.

MLC AS Rama Krishna, MLAs Modugula Venugopala Reddy, Mustafa, Guntur Mirchi Yard chairman Mannava Subba Rao, DSDO B.Srinivasa Rao, regional joint director of school education P.Parvati, district education officer V.Srinivasa Reddy, were among those who participated in the meeting.
