Visakhapatnam: Department of Computer Engineering, Andhra University College of Engineering for Women (AUCEW), will conduct workshops on ‘Inspire to innovate’ and ‘Issues related to web security’ from January 19 to 21.

Talking to reporters here on Tuesday, Head of the Department and Chairperson of the workshops Prof D Lalitha Bhaskari disclosed that the main objective of the workshop is to motivate the students towards entrepreneurship, leadership and enhance their knowledge in web application security concepts.

She said that 120 engineering candidates mostly studying third year B Tech degree from engineering colleges around the city have enrolled their names.

Andhra Univeristy Vice-Chancellor Prof G Nageswara Rao will inaugurate the workshop.

Director and Mentor for Centre for Innovation and Incubation Dr S Ravi Shankar is the resource person for ‘Inspire to innovate’ workshop and AUCEW principal Prof T Subrahmanyam will preside over.

Prof Bhaskari said that Security Analyst of ANI Technologies Private Limited (Ola Cabs), Bengaluru K Mohan and Senior Associate of Tech Mahindra, Hyderabad K Kasinath Goud will be the resource persons to provide practical training on the web application security.

Registrar Prof V Umamaheswara Rao will attend the valedictory to be held on January 21, she added.
