Review promotion policy, urge GENCO civil engineers
Rajamahendravaram: APGENCO’s civil engineers have been subjected to inequality and injustice for the last several years, the state president of AP GENCO Civil Engineers Association, Kolagani VVS Murthy, lamented here on Tuesday.

He regretted that seniority took a back seat in APGENCO and the 2003 batch are denied promotions. He submitted a memorandum to the Director, APGENCO, G Appa Rao, requesting him to give due promotions to graduate engineers who are duly qualified and experienced.
Citing the instances wherein candidates who joined APGENCO as assistant engineers in 2003 have not received even a single promotion, said the president.
He expressed anguish over the existing vacancies in APGENCO being filled up with diploma engineers and candidates who have lesser experience.
Besides urging the Director to consider giving promotions to 2003 batch engineers for the cadre of executive engineers, the petition impressed on the urgent need to bring those engineers into the state service who are working in Telangana.
