Prakasam District Collector Sujatha Sharma has won the best electoral practice award for the year 2016, announced Bhanwar Lal, Chief Electoral Officer for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in a statement released on Monday.

The Election Commission announces Best Electoral Practice Awards every year to the electoral officers who performed their duties well in every state. For the year 2016, the CEO for AP announced the best electoral practices award to Sujatha Sharma, Prakasam Collector, in the category of district election officers.
K Srinivasa Murthy, RDO, Vizianagaram, and L Raghubabu, RDO, Kurnool, were selected for the award in the category of electoral registration officers. M Rajasekhar Babu, tahsildar of Atmakur in the Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, P Ramanamma from Nandikotkur, Trinadha Rao from Chipurupalli and S Hymavathi from Polavaram were selected for the award in the Booth Level Officers category.
The selected officers will receive the awards at National Voters Day function to be held at Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad on January 25.
