National Lok Adalat a big hit in Chittoor

Chittoor: In order to solve their litigant issues and to obtain justice for resolving the long pending cases, people undertook excellent participation in the National Lok Adalats held in the district on Saturday, according to Chittoor District Judge K Durga Rao.

A special meet was held at District Court premises in which five benches were constituted for receiving the petitions in the National Lok Adalat he added.

Speaking at a function held at District Court on the eve of conducting the National Lok Adalat on Saturday, he stressed that the all types of cases are expected to be resolved in the Lok Adalats to be held on 11th of every month.

“The role of the judicial officers and advocates would be very crucial for making Lok Adalats a success. Justice is to be made available to all types of cases and communities.

The District Legal Cell Authority would shoulder the responsibility of assisting the poor and the women besides down trodden communities in respect of legal aids “he added.

He stressed that there was an immediate need to ensure legal assistance for the tribal community which is being reportedly neglected by various service agencies and Governmental institutions.

He stressed the literacy rate of the tribals should be hiked proportionately to other categories while their living standards are weakening gradually instead of strengthening.

He made an appeal to the advocates to take active role in making the Lok Adalat concept a success. He made it clear that people’s confidence would never shatter on the significance of justice.
