Vijayawada: Kapu Corporation chairman Chelamalasetty Ramanujaya said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was visiting different countries to invite IT companies to set up their branches at Amaravati, Tirupati and Vishakhapatnam to provide more employment opportunities to the students in Andhra Pradesh and to prevent their migration to Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

Ramanujaya participated in the Information Technology (IT) training symposium held at Ibrahimpatnam on Tuesday.

It was conducted by the APNRT IT Central officials with the support of Krishna district engineering college association.

Addressing the engineering college students, Ramanujaya said that SC, ST, Kapu, BC, Brahmin and minority corporations would help the students lagging behind to improve their skills to secure jobs in the competitive world and also help reduce the economical imbalances among poor families.

He said the State government was encouraging all training institutes to set up their branches in all major cities to reduce migration to Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

SC and ST Corporation Chairman Jupudi Prabhakar said that SC and ST Corporation officials prepared a master plan for empowerment of Dalit students in the State and more than 1.46 lakh Dalit students registered their names to get training for different courses.

AP State Council for Higher Education chairman S Vijaya Raju said that students pursuing studies in different groups must set the goals while they are in colleges and should spend most of the time to achieve their goals.

“All students must avoid the marks-oriented preparation in the colleges and need to know the basics,” he added.

APNRT Chief Executive Officer (CEO) V Ravi Kumar said that AP government would produce nearly 2 to 3 per cent of IT workforce from Amaravati to the world and Amaravati and Vishakhapatnam would become the hometowns for IT companies and IT training institutes in the State.

“APNRT along with IT Department, AP, has taken several measures to stop the migrations and to develop the IT eco-system in AP. APNRT has recruited nearly 15 well known IT training institutes to set up their training centres in Amaravati and Vishakhapatnam” he added.

He said that APNRT has invited several IT companies including Microsoft, Grupo Antolin, HCL, Prime Era and Meslova to AP and these training institutes take our graduating students and prepare them for employment by training them in necessary skills sets” he added.
