Vizianagaram: The government is planning to develop the tourism spots in Vizianagaram district to attract tourists from other states.

The district has some historical background and it has beautiful coast line, rivers, streams and hills. So, the government is planning to develop some spots here to attract the tourists.

Collector Vivek Yadav reviewed the progress of various projects and said that the government is taking measures to protect heritage structures and monuments in the district.

He directed the officials to provide more facilities at Tatipudi reservoir for the tourists and complete the beautification works around the fort of Vizianagaram.

“Shilparamam works should be expedited and boat facility should be arranged at Thotapalli, Peddagedda and Thatipudi. Land acquisition should be completed where ever necessary.

Pilgrim spots like Ramatheertham, Pydithallamma temple, Govindapuram, Bobbili Guest House, Venkanna temple at Thotapalli should be developed by providing basic amenities,” he said.

Furthermore, he directed the officials to prepare proposals with funds estimation to send to the government.
