Debt-ridden farmer ends life
A 37-year-old debt-ridden farmer committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling in his house at Owk on Friday in the district. The deceased has been identified as Akula Ramanjaneyulu, a native of Sanjamala village and has settled down in Owk 11 years ago.
Kurnool: A 37-year-old debt-ridden farmer committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling in his house at Owk on Friday in the district. The deceased has been identified as Akula Ramanjaneyulu, a native of Sanjamala village and has settled down in Owk 11 years ago.
The Owk police disclosing the facts said that the deceased was said to have borrowed huge amount of loan from friends and had invested into farming. After harvest, he could not get the satisfactory amount so that he can repay the debts. Unable to bear the pressures mounting by the money lenders, he took the extreme step, while family members were fast asleep.
However, the police said that they have filed a case and took up investigation. It is learnt that the deceased is survived with wife and two children.
