Rajamahendravaram: Intermediate examinations are going to start from March 1in the district, informed the Regional Inspection Officer of Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education.

Speaking at a meeting held here on Sunday to review the arrangements for the ensuing Intermediate examinations, A Venkatesh, the RIC said that 1, 02,553 students would be taking exams. The exams would start from 9 am to 12 noon.

All arrangements have been made to conduct exams across 133 centers in the district and CC cameras would be installed in five centers. He further said that section 144 will be in force at all the examination centers and Xerox machines in the vicinity of examination centers would be closed.

Every exam center will be deployed with auxiliary nursing midwives(ANMs), said the RIC. Also, flying squads would be inspecting the exam centers, added the RIC. As the MLC elections are getting clashed with the Intermediate exams, Mathematics-2B, Zeology-2 and History-2 examinations that were originally scheduled on Mar 9 had now been rescheduled and will be held on Mar 19, clarified the RIC.

Meanwhile, ITDA’s Project Officer A Dinesh Kumar directed the district educational department officials to ensure that no mass copying takes place in the exams. In this connection, he conducted a review meeting with MEOs, principals of gurukulams and with officials of Intermediate Board at Rampachodavaram on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Dinesh Kumar instructed officials of the RTC to operate buses to examination centers. Further, he asked the medical and health departments to set up health camps at examination centers.

2550 students are going to take up examinations covering eight centers in agency areas, added Dinesh Kumar. He asked the education department officials to take necessary steps in appointing flying squads, transportation of question papers besides ensuring law and order at exam centers.

All the selected code papers would have to be shifted in time from police stations to examination centers, he directed the department officials. Further, he directed the AP Transco authorities to take steps to supply uninterrupted power.
